About Janice Stork
Janice Stork was born in San Diego, then moved to Sacramento, California where she eventually retired as legislative aide to the California State Senate. She has been a lifelong student of esoteric philosophy, studying mysticism, Native American traditions, and is an acclaimed astrologer. Janice has authored three books, Footprints of the Capitol Astrologer, Earth Is Not My home, and Communicating with the Fourth Dimension.
Janice's interest in art was awakened when she took a couple of watercolor classes, offered by a church, from Stan Stevenson, a world famous artist known for his painting of Jesus Christ using images of the Shroud of Turin. Students dropped out right away because of the cost and difficulty of the media Janice kept studying and painting watercolors on her own which helped her tremendously when she started painting using acrylics.
Today, Janice enjoys walking from her home to the American River with her dog, Max. She loves working in her yard amongst the murals she has painted which contribute to its Zen atmosphere.
